Yinka Fisher, (Lagos, 1949), holds an honours degree (1972), in Psychology from the University of Lagos. He worked as a Junior Research Fellow, Special Assistant and also helped set up the Nigerian Conservation Foundation. He established thereafter, ICT companies which he presently heads. A keen former cricketer and sports administrator heading the Nigeria and West Africa, Cricket Association and Conference respectively. He was in the 1990’s, a member of the International Cricket Council (ICC), representing West Africa for 4 years. For nearly 40 years he has been an avid art collector and a patron of the arts. His dream of nurturing contemporary Nigerian art and documenting same for academic and other purposes led to the creation of the Foundation for Contemporary and Modern Visuals Arts.
Mr Fisher sits on the board of trustees of numerous organizations including the FCMVA where he gives creative direction to the activities of the Foundation.
